Hirata Corporation has been recognized by General Motors Company (hereinafter called "GM"), a leading automotive manufacturer in the United States as a "2011 Supplier of the Year"

The GM Supplier of the Year award is for the winners who are chosen from over the 20,000 suppliers globally that serve GM with significant contributions. Winners are selected by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives who base their decisions on supplier performance in innovative technology, superior quality, outstanding launch support, etc. GM honored 82 suppliers for their outstanding performance throughout 2011 and we are very proud of being selected as one of them as well as being the sole winner for power train assembly category.

We at Hirata manufacture and deal in production systems for various fields including automotive, FPD's and semiconductors on a global basis. Regarding automotive related production equipment, we have received many orders for automotive related assembly lines such as engines and transmissions from both domestic and international automotive manufactures.

It is with great pleasure that we have been receiving orders worth several billion yen for large-scale equipment since the 1990s from automotive manufacturers including GM, having a high reputation for our technology, quality and delivery time.

We have been respecting and trying to meet customers' needs, having some aim to receive "Supplier of the Year" sooner or later. We recognize that a longstanding reputation and a trustworthy relationship between GM and Hirata lead us to achieve this award. It is also a great honor for us to be chosen as "Supplier of the Year", while the other suppliers are the most successful corporations in the world. We will continue to be an attractive manufacturer with innovation effort and spirit of challenge for customers.
