Guidelines
As a responsible corporate citizen and a community-based industry, we endeavor to pursue environmental conservation and recycling activities to contribute to the positive development of our regional communities. We act in firm opposition against any organization or anti-social group that threatens the safety and welfare of those regional societies, and explicitly avoid conducting relationships with such organizations.
Social Contribution Activities
Internship
Hirata Corporation provides internships of a "working experience type," by which the Company provides opportunities for students to think "What it means to work at a company" or "How much what I have learned can be applied." For high school students, we provide motivational lectures prior to the internship and accept plant visits of several hundred students so that they can efficiently develop correct job perceptions and selection of a career.
As a new effort, we plan internships at overseas subsidiaries to develop global human resources and invite schools to participate.
Information regarding the Great East Japan Earthquake
We would like to offer our thoughts, condolences and wishes for a speedy recovery to all those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Conditions of our Factories
Our Kanto Plant in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, sustained some partial damage to the building structure, however nobody was injured and there were no major effects on manufacturing operations.
Contribution of donations
We have donated 10 million yen in an effort to assist with the reconstruction efforts following the earthquake. On top of this, we have taken up internal company fundraising campaigns, to which both our executive and regular employees have contributed.
Assisting our clients in restoring their factories, and a thank-you letter from HITACHI, Ltd.
Following the disaster, we all assisted our client factories in restoration efforts and activities. Within that, we received a letter of gratitude from HITACHI, Ltd. based on our short-term delivery of the necessary assembly equipment for automotive electric products, thanking us for our great efforts as a high grade supplier working towards earthquake recovery assistance and resumption of manufacturing operations.
Information on northern Kyusyu torrential rains
We would like to offer our thoughts, condolences and wishes for a speedy recovery to all those affected by torrential rains that hit northern Kyusyu.
Conditions of our Factories
Our Four Plant in Kumamoto Prefecture, nobody was injured and there were no major effects on manufacturing operations.
