Since 2015, Hirata’s R&D has newly established Life Science and Green Energy as R&D themes, and has been promoting R&D in the field of life science in addition to the engineering R&D so far.

Most of the resources are traditionally used in countries with genetic resources, but the scientific basis for their use has not been elucidated. Therefore, we cooperate with countries with genetic resources to search and collect plant genetic resources, and scientifically make full use of cutting-edge technologies such as component analysis, evaluation, and analysis that have been developed by our R&D. We will find plant resources that have been proven to be effective and work to develop new global healthcare products and pharmaceuticals.
