Sponsored an educational scholarship at Kumamoto University

The HIRATA Corporation Educational Scholarship in the form of ¥3,000,000 yearly endowment to the Kumamoto University, was put up to promote friendly relations with the country of China and to provide assistance to persons with talent in commemoration of the 60th foundation anniversary and the 55th inaugural anniversary of the company. This educational scholarship provides assistance to five students selected from Chinese foreign students in engineering enrolled in the first semester of the doctoral course in the College of Engineering at Kumamoto University and who are paying their own expenses.

Credit margin contract with Higo Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation concluded

On the 27th of this month, Higo Bank announced that it was the lead bank in a joint financing with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation awarding a ¥5 billion one-year unsecured and unwarranted credit margin (financing scheme) with HIRATA Corporation until March 2007. HIRATA Corporation, whose sales for the period ending in March 2006 increase by 15% or ¥36,000,000,000 mainly due to increased orders in its automotive and FDP business components, aims to stabilize its financial procurement to cope with the increase in demand by strengthening its production capabilities.
