Production Engineering

Hirata's "Customers First" attitude in product and technology development and our experience and know-how in implementing various systems ensures a better final result for customers.

For us, "production engineering" means achieving performance, quality, safety, efficiency, delivery, and costs exactly as the customer requires. Hirata has developed R&D and design capabilities with vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities which gives us total system perspective. Joint development efforts with you will then achieve true "Production Engineering". The "Assembly Cell System" or ACS is a good example. It is what Hirata proposes as a systems concept and consists of highly standardized modules which may be combined to make a system truly fl exible.

*1 The FMEA is a technique that predicts possible system failures and

*2 This process allows systems analysis on a single-unit level, investigation of desired functions and planning of full compatibility.

Hirata combines basics to form something unique.
Reliable production systems at a lower cost and a shorter delivery time.

ACS (Assembly Cell System) Concept

The ACS is Hirata's unique production engineering systems concept. It is an assembly line system of highly standardized modules, allowing for great reliability and cost performance in a short time.
We have an actual performance based high reliability, especially Automotive-related production business.

lntegration
Equipment and parts used at each operation of the manufacturing process are standardized and integrated into 'standardized modules'
Flexibility
Each module is equipped with a range of functions adaptable to different manufacturing processes
Quality
Stable product quality and a minimization of equipment failure is assured through standardization

ACS
  • Accelerates production start-up by shortening the time to install and qualify equipment.
  • Simplifies the assembly line by standardizing parts, reduces space, and eases maintenance.
  • Shortens the assembly line and reduces in-process inventory.
  • Adapts readily to product changes or future assembly line changes.
  • Supports changing production output by modifying equipment quantity or layout.
